In an effort to expand and become more nationally-known, a premium chocolate brand aimed to identify the main drivers and motivations for premium chocolate purchase and leverage drivers insights to inform brand manifesto direction.
The Solution
Using Suzy’s quantitative surveys, the brand found that for both gifting and personal consumption, chocolate product quality–specifically taste–is of utmost priority for consumers. They also found that personal consumption and gifting attributes are the top drivers in the premium chocolate category. In comparison, brand story and mission statement were two of the lowest drivers. Building on these insights, the brand understood their manifesto should hone in on chocolate consumption quality and gift-giving.
